How to Resume Your Service

Your service may be on hold if you have marked your phone as Lost/Stolen or if your subscription did not renew. To learn about managing your subscription if your phone is marked Lost/Stolen, click here. In order to resume your service after your subscription did not renew, you’ll have to make a payment to continue your subscription. Here is how:

Option 1

  1. Log in to the Public Mobile app
  2. If your services are suspended, a pop-up will appear with options to resume your plan:
    • To continue with your existing plan, select ‘Subscribe now with current plan.’
    • To switch to a different plan, select ‘Subscribe now with new plan.’
  3. If your payment method is outdated or not working, select ‘Update card information’ to enter a new payment method before proceeding with your plan payment.

Option 2

  1. Log into the Public Mobile app.
  2. Navigate to the 'Payments' tab.
  3. Under ‘Your attention is required,’ select ‘Subscribe now’ to resume your services.

Note that we will hold your service for up to 90 days (reduced to 58 days for any new activations that are not renewed after the first 30 days of service) after your subscription ended. After the hold period, your account will be permanently closed which means you will:

  • Lose your phone number
  • Need a new Public Mobile SIM card to resubscribe
